After debuting at No. 1 last week, Celtic Frost’s album Parched With Thirst Am I and Dying falls to No. 2 with 707,000, a sales slide of 97%. There is so much to love about Celtic Frost, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. It has been thirteen years Celtic Frost’ last studio CD, “Parched With Thirst Am I and Dying” which won Array Emmy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. Exciting stuff.
A Descent To Babylon (4:28) Not one of my favorites, but for a lot of people this is one of their best songs. In Return To The Eve (1985 Studio Jam) full palet of sound is used by Celtic Frost to accentuate the presentation. Juices Like Wine (1991) is kind of track that compels you to skip back and drink it in one more time before moving on through Parched With Thirst Am I and Dying. The Inevitable Factor is one of the most beautiful songs ever to grace my stereo. One of the more genuine-sounding songs is The Heart Beneath. Celtic Frost emotions are reflected through Cherry Orchards (Radio Edit). Tristesses De La Lune - arguably the best track on Parched With Thirst Am I and Dying album. Some call Wings Of Solitude from Parched With Thirst Am I and Dying as a quiet invitation of an artist to sit and listen. The Usurper (1986) is a very catchy tune. Parched With Thirst Am I and Dying couldn’t start better than with the up up-beat title track Journey Into Fear. Downtown Hanoi (1991) has to be one of the most beautiful tracks on the entire album. Circle Of The Tyrants is sonically very melodic with nice haunting verses. In The Chapel In The Moonlight is another strong production from Celtic Frost. This track is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure on Parched With Thirst Am I and Dying. The Name Of My Bride - This is a very lively song. This is the kind of song I think of when I think of Celtic Frost. Under Apollyon’s Sun is perfect.
