Since Sage Francis last CD (Human the Death Dance) on Virgin Records back in 2007, I have felt a massive void in my life. It’s natural for Sage Francis to take a stab at ‘Growing Pains Intro’ considering her long-professed love for Green Grey. While no new Sage Francis album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 2007 tour in Europe. This is the best album I have heard in a long time
Only one song from Human the Death Dance named Underground for Dummies really got me. Civil Obedience is the song that really did it for me. A great put together song. The song Good Fashion ending is my favorite… so catchy! In this song fans will recognize the unique vocals of Sage Francis. If you are a Sage Francis fan, you will love Midgets and Giants. Broccilude - This one is what it is: a powerful, primal invitation to love. Music in High Step is astounding as in all tracks of Human the Death Dance. Keep Moving is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen. Waterline is the first taste of the new album. Black Out on White Night pretty much defines how I feel spiritually. Hell of a Year is outstanding work of Sage Francis. Call Me Frans as well as many of songs is a short story in miniature. A unique and uplifting song. From the sound of it, I believe the song can be a big radio hit.
