Lead single “Track 01″ and “Track 02″ start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of UDO on ‘Track 01′. This compilation contains all of the biggest hits by UDO. This is my first UDO Album and i must say i am blown away.
Track 02 is a bit different from UDO stereotypical stuff. Track 03 is one of those songs that will put you in a good mood. This is one of those songs that musicians strive to write and create. Track 05 is probably the most interesting track on 2001 Live in Russia part I. UDO is hitting on all cylinders in Track 06. I like the idea behind Track 07. Track 08 is a song that takes you on the journey before it reaches the conclusion. This track is full of harmonies and gets 2001 Live in Russia part I off to a relaxing start. This song has very few things relative to that of it’s predecessor. Track 11 is outstanding work of UDO. This track is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure on 2001 Live in Russia part I. Track 13 is the funkiest number on the album. In Track 14 the light shines equally on lyrics, vocals and instrumentation.
