This -song debut EP shows the promise that Various Artists has. While no new Various Artists album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 0 tour in South America. six years ago, Various Artists briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Track 11″. Various Artists “A Tast of Tao” is an amazing album.
Track 11 is a fine track on any terms. Track 12 has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets Various Artists’s strong vocals come to the fore. Track 13 is the exquisite blend of moody yet optimistic tunes. Lyrics of Track 14 are precise and evocative. I can’t stop playing Track 15. Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin. Track 17 is gorgeous song though, very addictive. This track is just fantastic from start to finish. Track 1 is probably one of Various Artists’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. Track 2 without a doubt is the standout song of A Tast of Tao. Track 3 great lyrics, dark, deep, angry and cool.Track 4 is a song to enjoy for years to come. In Track 5 you won’t find any flashy solos. Track 6 is worth the money. In Track 7 Various Artists spins a tale you want to hear to the end. Track 8 is perhaps one of the best tracks of the past decade. Track 9 is perfect.
