On the Iceland charts, superstar Various Artists’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. Since completing 0’s ‘Poesia (Don Backy)’, Various Artists fulfilled their contract with Capitol Records and where under no obligation to release another album. It has been nine years Various Artists’ last studio CD, “Anni collection 60 - 70, CD14″ which won Array Grammy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. This album is awesome.
Pomeriggio ore 6 without a doubt is the standout song of Anni collection 60 - 70, CD14. Simple and heartfelt closing track Pregher% closes Anni collection 60 - 70, CD14 on a high note. Prendi la chitarra e vai (The Motowns) is a very good song maybe surprisingly better than you at first might’ve imagined. Proposta is really a nice song to relax and listen too. This track is nearly perfect if not perfect. In Pugni chiusi the light shines equally on lyrics, vocals and instrumentation. It’s so catchy, it’s amazing. Quando Calienta El Sol - This one is what it is: a powerful, primal invitation to love. This song may be the most meaningful. Quando quando quando is a nice, innocuous song, and much better than anything Various Artists released so far. Quando vedrai la mia ragazza is so unique, as each one of the songs is. Quandro Vedrete Il Mio Caro Amore one is one of the better boring ones. This is probably my favorite song on the album. Quartermaster - I like this one. Quel che ti ho dato the elegant and beautiful song on the album is hard to describe. Quella carezza della sera (4:38) - awsome. Quelli della mia et one of the most beautiful songs i’ve ever heard. Quelli eran giorni (Sandie Show) - This one makes me want to not only sing along. Quello che non sai is a great song for a cosy night in when it’s cold and wintry outside. Questa Sera Non Ho Pianto is a good listen every once in a while. I can’t stop humming along Quindici anni. This track is just a stunning masterpiece. Ragazzo Triste (Patty Pravo) is a bit different from Various Artists stereotypical stuff. The sound of Ragazzo di strada is difficult to describe, as it seems to squirm in a sensual manner, unlike anything ever created.
