While no new Various Artists album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 0 tour in Europe. Anni collection 60 - 70, CD9 is an amazing album, racked with beauty.Various Artists had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. This is the best album I have heard in a long time
La Bamba (Richie Valens) has a beautifully haunting disco flavor. La Bambola - is a breath or fresh air compared to many previous songs of Various Artists. You have to get essence of the La Fisarmonica’s power, to truly understand this masterpiece. La Forza del Destino (Neil Sedaka) is a strong cut, one of many. This track is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure on Anni collection 60 - 70, CD9. La Playa - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody. La donna cannone is such a exquisite and optimistic song that things can get just better. This song stands out greatly from the others. Charming song, great melody. La guerra di Piero is worth the money. La mezzaluna (Adriano Celentano) - To me, this is the best song on the Anni collection 60 - 70, CD9. This track is a killer, it just grabs you instantly. As always, Various Artists’s lyrics are worth listening to again and again. |titile| is the kind of record that makes you remember why music can be so addictive. La pelle nera is just simply stunning. La pioggia which is my favorite is a truly Various Artists sounding song. La riva bianca la riva nera is a song that takes you on the journey before it reaches the conclusion. What sets La tramontana apart is Various Artists’s innovative and organic way of creating atmospheres. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on Anni collection 60 - 70, CD9 is La tua immagine. It’s also one of those rare songs that touchingly comfort the listener. Lady Barbara is a fine track on any terms. Album opener Lady Jane is a bright, upbeat ditty. Lascia L ultimo Ballo Per Me (The Rokes) stands out to me for its audacious melody and sheer beauty. Le colline sono in fiore is the song that really did it for me.
