This is one of the best Cd’s Various Artists has dropped to date. After debuting at No. 1 last week, Various Artists’s album Buddy Guy - BBC - Nobody but You - Jam 2 falls to No. 2 with 619,000, a sales slide of 65%. On Buddy Guy - BBC - Nobody but You - Jam 2 album, Various Artists have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. Light are on but nobody’s home (Albert Collins) and Summer in the sity (B.B.King) is really good.
Summer in the sity (B.B.King) good vocals. Whiskey, Beer and Reffer (Billy Boy Arnold) is a great song for a cosy night in when it’s cold and wintry outside. Musically She’s out there somewere (Buddy Guy) is superior to other tracks in Buddy Guy - BBC - Nobody but You - Jam 2. If you are a Various Artists fan, you will love Did you ever (Jimmy Rushing). Various Artists emotions are reflected through Don’t look back (John Lee Hooker). A great put together song. Just memories (Luther Allison) is a bit of a show-tune. Although Nobody but you (Luther Allison) is very melodic it is far from sad. This track is full of harmonies and gets Buddy Guy - BBC - Nobody but You - Jam 2 off to a relaxing start. This track makes my mind whirl and vibrate with flowing energy. You won’t see me anymore (Peter Green) is probably one of Various Artists’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to.
