Various Artists’s debut, ‘Celestial Harmonies Present - Asian Music (cd2)’, does not fit easily into one genre. Mila Sparrow has compared writing for Various Artists’s new album to that on ‘Celestial Harmonies Present - Asian Music (cd2)’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. eleven years ago, Various Artists briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Sashi No Kyoku”. Celestial Harmonies Present - Asian Music (cd2) is preety good and all the songs have a good meaning behind them.
Sashi No Kyoku - a classic song. This song could easily nestle itself onto the world top playlists. Under The Pines - Well, here we get a bit more meaning. Dhun In Raga Mishra is probably the highlight of the album. From the sound of it, I believe the song can be a big radio hit. Jungle Book is a pleasing, and full of overall coherence that goes beyond other creations. This track is a great song that still never gets old. Clouds is a song that definitely grows on you and becomes an album favorite. The Idle Song-Thrush is a great song for a cosy night in when it’s cold and wintry outside. Various Artists allows each song to breathe and flourish. Time - To me, this is the best song on the Celestial Harmonies Present - Asian Music (cd2). Dorje Ling gets you up and jumping. The Praises For Guy Ashamaya - This one is what it is: a powerful, primal invitation to love. This track is clearly meant to showcase Various Artists’s vocal abilities.
