Various Artists was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Various Artists and Habit Control - Listen and Lose together. Lead single “Gang Starr - You Know My Steez” and “Encore - Love Hate (Nextmen Remix)” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Various Artists energies, virtually a rebirth. Great Pop right here!
Encore - Love Hate (Nextmen Remix) gives taste of what makes Various Artists special as a musician. This track is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure on Habit Control - Listen and Lose. |titile| is quite refreshing and sets the tone for what is going on in Habit Control - Listen and Lose. Nextmen - Where You ll Find Me Nextmen - Break The Mould Stevie Wonder - Superstition motivates you to get up and do something to improve your life and the life of others. Simply the finest work ever from this multi-talented singer. I loved Nextmen - Buck Foolish De La Soul - Watch Out the first time I heard it. This song is very powerful, its catchy melody will have you singing along in no time. Public Enemy - Do You Wanna Go Our Way (Nextmen Remix) which is my favorite is a truly Various Artists sounding song. Excellent vocals and musical performances. Sister Nancy - Bam Bam is a marvelous sing-along. In Outro 192 it becomes nowhere more obvious that Various Artists has yet to define own style.
