Hippjokk is an amazing album, racked with beauty.On the India charts, superstar Various Artists’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. Lead single “Hoglorfen (Hedningarna)” and “Navdi_Fasa (Hedningarna)” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. Hippjokk is the best essence of Various Artists.
Awesome song is really all that you can say about it. The sound of Drufur och Gildur (Hedningarna) is difficult to describe, as it seems to squirm in a sensual manner, unlike anything ever created. Various Artists is hitting on all cylinders in Dolkaren (Hedningarna). No Various Artists song has come close to capturing my attention as Bierdna (Hednngarna) did. As always, Various Artists’s lyrics are worth listening to again and again. Forshittan (Hedningarna) - A nice song. Dufwa (Hedningarna) had me crying as I was able to relate so well. |titile| is the kind of record that makes you remember why music can be so addictive. Skane (Hedningarna) is a very good song maybe surprisingly better than you at first might’ve imagined. Within the first few notes of Graucholorfen (Hedningarna) it’s perfectly clear that Various Artists is living this song.
