After seeing Blind For You (Di-Rect & Wibi Soerjadi), I had to have a good Various Artists cd. On Hitzone 34 album, Various Artists have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. For older fans Hitzone 34 will put a massive smile accross your face. Last Hot Album by Various Artists
Nine Million Bicycles (Katie Melua) is the albums biggest surprise. Mee Naar Diemen-Zuid (Lange Frans & Baas B) is a marvelous song and it grows on you. A great put together song. Once you hear One Word (Anouk), you will listen to it over and over. I came to like My Humps (Black Eyed Peas). Ugly (Sugababes) had me crying as I was able to relate so well. Because Of You (Kelly Clarkson) is the song that really did it for me. Advertising Space (Robbie Williams) is a song that takes you on the journey before it reaches the conclusion. Stickwitu (The Pussycat Dolls) to me is the best you can get from Various Artists. I find myself hearing bits of Talk (Coldplay) here and there throughout my waking hours. This song is very powerful, its catchy melody will have you singing along in no time. The opening track Wonderchild (Christian Walz) is very much like you would expect from other albums. Laugh About It (Racoon) has to be one of the most beautiful tracks on the entire album. I love the melodic melody of Pieces Of A Dream (Anastacia) and to this day it makes me feel good. Love Generation (Bob Sinclair) - This one is what it is: a powerful, primal invitation to love. This track is clearly meant to showcase Various Artists’s vocal abilities. In Far Away (Nickelback) Various Artists spins a tale you want to hear to the end. Laura (Jan Smit) is a strong cut, one of many. Say Say Say (Waiting 4 U) (Hi_Tack) as a highlight of Hitzone 34 contains a ton of excellent melodies. Chariot (Gavin DeGraw) is a very catchy tune.
