There is no doubt that Various Artists has talent. I am not a real Pop music type of person, but i have to admit ‘John Lee Hooker - BBC - Where Blue begins - Jam 1′ really is amazing. Various Artists’s debut, ‘John Lee Hooker - BBC - Where Blue begins - Jam 1′, does not fit easily into one genre. John Lee Hooker - BBC - Where Blue begins - Jam 1 is not something you should pass up.
The thrill is gone (B.B.King) is possibly the best song Various Artists has come up. Blue blues (Bessie Smith) stands out to me for its audacious melody and sheer beauty. Nobody knows you (Bessie Smith) hits the heart. In this song fans will recognize the unique vocals of Various Artists. Where blue begins (Danna Gillespie) is nothing but pure genius. I came to like I’d rather go blind (Etta James). In Help (Isaac Scot) you won’t find any flashy solos. It’s man’s, man’s, man’s, world (James Brown) is one of these floating songs. Various Artists rocks harder than ever with Chill Out (John Lee Hooker). Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right. I like to sing along with Both ends of the road (Long John Hunter), though I mess up the lyrics sometimes. Lyrics of Lightning bolt (Luther Allison) are precise and evocative. This is the most melodic ambitious and satisfying track in John Lee Hooker - BBC - Where Blue begins - Jam 1. Opening track Flash chordin (Roy Buchanan) shows the best of Various Artists.
