Since completing 2007’s ‘No Te Resistas Al Dembow (Wibal & Alex)’, Various Artists fulfilled their contract with Savoy Records and where under no obligation to release another album. Self-described as Pop with lots of words, Various Artists comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. While no new Various Artists album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 2007 tour in Australia. Various Artists “Musica Mayo-Junio 2007 CD15″ is an amazing album.
la nena (Wibal & Alex) sets the tone for the entire album. Various Artists must have run out of lyrics on the next track Me Tienes Delirando (Wisin & Yandel). Excellent vocals and musical performances. El Telefono (Wisin & Yandel Ft Hector ”The Father”) makes a person feel astounding. Mami (Wisin & Yandel Ft Ruppee) still maintains something of a specific flourish. Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think Nadie Como Tu (Wisin & Yandel ft.Don Omar) is my favorite song on Musica Mayo-Junio 2007 CD15. Pam Pam (Wisin & Yandel) one of the best in my collection. I like to sing along with Mirala bien (Wisin y Yandel ft Lagh Janjua), though I mess up the lyrics sometimes. Rumbas-Sevillanas (X Rumbas 09 -Raya Real) had me crying as I was able to relate so well. Musically RAY feat LEMON-juice maria (X) is superior to other tracks in Musica Mayo-Junio 2007 CD15. Shorty Shorty (Xtreme) is a bit different from Various Artists stereotypical stuff. Vamo alla (Yomo) is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done. Voice of Various Artists in Poquito a poco (Zinkiyos ft Sergio Contreras) is honest and guitar work is subtle and poignant. I was truly moved when I heard se que tendras que llorar (Zinkiyos y LOs Rebujitos). Veo (Zion) is probably one of Various Artists’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. Music and lyrics of Zun Dada (Zion) creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming. The Way She Moves (The Perfect Melody) (Zion Feat Akon) great lyrics, dark, deep, angry and cool.
