Various Artists was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Various Artists and Protishead - MTV Alterzone together. This is one of the best Cd’s Various Artists has dropped to date. After debuting at No. 1 last week, Various Artists’s album Protishead - MTV Alterzone falls to No. 2 with 874,000, a sales slide of 82%. This is the best album I have heard in a long time
I now have With arms wide open (Creed) as one of my personal favorites. Various Artists has created something that grabs you by the heart and gets you moving. This song could easily nestle itself onto the world top playlists. After about the third Take a picture (Filter) listen through, I began to believe this song is Various Artists’s essence. The sound in Gone with the sin (HIM) is really warm and Various Artists’s signature voice is still very much present. Drive (Incubus) is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen. Run to the water (Live) is amazing and different song. Protection (Massive Attack) is really the reason why I recommend buying Protishead - MTV Alterzone. Nice and different song. Angelene (P.J. Harvey) is Various Artists’s best work in years. This track is just a stunning masterpiece. Glory box (Protishead) is a good listen every once in a while. This track is nearly perfect if not perfect. Some call Karma police (Radiohead) from Protishead - MTV Alterzone as a quiet invitation of an artist to sit and listen. Ana’s song (Silverchair) is so unique, as each one of the songs is. Secretly (Skunk Anansie) very upbeat. After you’ve listened to Mr.Writer (Stereophonics), most everything else can’t hold up and is second rate.
