It’s natural for Various Artists to take a stab at ‘Simon says (Clawfinger)’ considering her long-professed love for B.B. King. This -song debut EP shows the promise that Various Artists has. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Various Artists on ‘Simon says (Clawfinger)’. This album is in perfect progression from Various Artists!
With arms wide open (Creed) is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen. This song has very few things relative to that of it’s predecessor. The beautiful sound of this track makes you want to close your eyes and sway away with the music. Take a picture (Filter) is a amazing song and it grows on you. Gone with the sin (HIM) is another favourite of mine. This track is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure on R.E.M. - MTV Alterzone. R.E.M. - MTV Alterzone couldn’t start better than with the up up-beat title track Run to the water (Live). Protection (Massive Attack) is one of the best records ever. Fear and love (Morcheeba) is a pleasing, and full of overall coherence that goes beyond other creations. Various Artists has created something that grabs you by the heart and gets you moving. Berger queen (Placedo) good vocals. Don’t judge Glory box (Protishead) on the first listening. Nightswimming (R.E.M.) is a good listen every once in a while. When listening to Karma police (Radiohead), it gives me such an energy rush it’s unbelievable. Ana’s song (Silverchair) sets the tone for the entire album. Secretly (Skunk Anansie) - My least favorite song on this album. Mr.Writer (Stereophonics) is just simply stunning.
