It has been two years Various Artists’ last studio CD, “Samkirtanas” which won Array Emmy� Awards and was nominated for album of the year. Thom Yorke has compared writing for Various Artists’s new album to that on ‘Samkirtanas’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. two years ago, Various Artists briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Manujudai_Putti”. Smart music for smart people.
Music of Manujudai_Putti is gentle, never overbearing. This song may be the most meaningful. Ksheerabdhikanyakaku - My least favorite song on this album. Dolayam is really the reason why I recommend buying Samkirtanas. Such hits like Cheri_Yasodaku_Sisuv will leave you hooked. |titile| is a sure sign of something most of us are experiencing, maturity. Nanati_Baduku has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets Various Artists’s strong vocals come to the fore.
