I am not a real Pop music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Sanremo 1960′ really is amazing. Since Various Artists last CD (Sanremo 1960) on EMI Records back in 1960, I have felt a massive void in my life. Various Artists was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Various Artists and Sanremo 1960 together. Lots of variety between tracks. My favorite is Tar And Cement (ALLISON DURBIN)
Such hits like Tar And Cement (ALLISON DURBIN) will leave you hooked. Perdoniamoci (Achille Togliani) - This one makes me want to not only sing along. Curtis Betty (Amore senza sole) - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody. Excellent vocals and musical performances. Gridare di gioia (Arturo Testa) is a striking and quite long song. Perderti (Arturo Testa) is the most memorable and exquisite. Amore Senza Sole (Betty Curtis) (3:37) a good melody. Gian Costello (E’ Vero) is the song that really did it for me. I like the agression and power of Bruni Sergio (E’ mezzanotte). A come amore (Flo Sandon s) defines beauty, yet is as unforgiving as an astringent stone. Gridare Di Gioia - 1960FS - (Germana Caroli) gets you up and jumping. Gridare di gioia (Germana Caroli) is a astounding, simple song by Various Artists at the top of his game. Invoco te (Gino Latilla) is a song that will not reduce you to tears but leave you thinking long after Sanremo 1960 have ended. This song stands out greatly from the others. Romantica (Gino Latilla) is, without a doubt, my favorite song, ever. Domenico Modugno (Libero) is the albums lead single as well as biggest hit. Dallara Tony (Noi) make listening to Various Artists like being in some sort of time warp. Best song on the album, love it. Togliani Achille (Perdoniamoci) is one of these floating songs. This song is like perfectly aged vintage bordeaux wine not a tequila shot. Perderti (Tonina Torielli) is probably the highlight of the album. This is one of those songs that musicians strive to write and create. Some call Splende L’arcobaleno (Wilma De Angelis) from Sanremo 1960 as a quiet invitation of an artist to sit and listen.
