On Sayas Y Morenadas Vol. 2 album, Various Artists have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. Self-described as Miscellaneous with lots of words, Various Artists comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. I am not a real Miscellaneous music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Sayas Y Morenadas Vol. 2′ really is amazing. To me Various Artists is the best band ever.
juanita (arawi) is a very good song maybe surprisingly better than you at first might’ve imagined. sangre andina (savia andina) had me crying as I was able to relate so well. This song is dynamic and dramatic. mi morena (amaru) hits the heart. In rey de los negros (andino) Various Artists spins a tale you want to hear to the end. I like the idea behind virgen del perpetuo socorro(illapa). morena orurecita-morena de corazon(intergracion 2000) one is one of the better boring ones. It took me a little time but I ended up loving solo para ti (amaru). It is succeeded by an outstanding track, however: preste mayor (arawi), which shows, blatantly, how much Various Artists has evolved as a singer. mantilla de vicuca (savia andina) is the more seemingly obscure song on Sayas Y Morenadas Vol. 2 that bear up best to repeated listening. la mentirosita (spring) - My least favorite song on this album. Song la pesada (mejillones) (andino) is actually a funny song.
