Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Various Artists on ‘Thank God for everything’. After seeing Thank God for everything, I had to have a good Various Artists cd. Various Artists had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. Exciting stuff.
Long monastery is really a nice song to relax and listen too. In Stranger Various Artists is at his best. As always, Various Artists’s lyrics are worth listening to again and again. I find myself hearing bits of There is a distant land in a small monastery here and there throughout my waking hours. This song is like perfectly aged vintage bordeaux wine not a tequila shot. Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with Lord God, God forgive. |titile| is quite refreshing and sets the tone for what is going on in Sestrenskie Hory - Thank God For All. Wisdom Sea - This one is what it is: a powerful, primal invitation to love. That night St. - A nice song. Dawned bright stars is a romantic if not formulaic ditty. I came to like Vetka. For Kazan icons is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen.
