Since completing 2007’s ‘congaman - funk power’, Various Artists fulfilled their contract with Sparrow Records and where under no obligation to release another album. There is so much to love about Various Artists, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. Now signed to Various Artists’s Sparrow Records, the title track from second album “Tribalismo Compilation Vol.7″ leads Various Artists’s back-to-school campaign. Exciting stuff.
alex gaudino - destination calabria is kind of track that compels you to skip back and drink it in one more time before moving on through Tribalismo Compilation Vol.7. It’s a great pleasure to listen to gregor salto - curtir ep (bouncing harbour) from the beginning to the end. f drink - boutique - Check out that bassline! Various Artists is one of artists that allow his songs like paraiba - nobody else to stand on their own and be heard. The song feels complete. paul johnson - get get down is outstanding work of Various Artists. little exuma - the night is a catchy, up-tempo track that has influence of music streams without leaning too much in that direction. Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think salt and pepper - oriented is my favorite song on Tribalismo Compilation Vol.7. ziko feat. mopti - kebaya - arguably the best track on Tribalismo Compilation Vol.7 album. Tribalismo Compilation Vol.7 couldn’t start better than with the up up-beat title track haida - caliente. Simple and heartfelt closing track m and f - spanish beat closes Tribalismo Compilation Vol.7 on a high note. Various Artists has created something that grabs you by the heart and gets you moving. As always, Various Artists’s lyrics are worth listening to again and again. This song stands out greatly from the others. It’s very catchy and easy to get into which is what you want in a song. funky dream men - congaphobia stands out to me for its audacious melody and sheer beauty. little exuma - flamingo catches attention immediately, I was truly moved when I heard loudtone - africa. This is the most melodic ambitious and satisfying track in Tribalismo Compilation Vol.7. white groove - rock da move is probably one of Various Artists’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. f drink - ecuador - A nice song. t street - deep in your heart is a great song for a cosy night in when it’s cold and wintry outside. When I listen to mauro del principe - wade in the water in my car when traffic ain’t going so good.
