There were many famous songs of As Cities Burn available. Come Now Sleep isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. John Digester has compared writing for As Cities Burn’s new album to that on ‘Come Now Sleep’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. This is one of the best cd’s i have heard through the whole thing.
Voice and instruments in Empire complement each other. The Hoard (3:54) a good melody. This Is It, This Is It is a bit of a show-tune. Clouds great lyrics, dark, deep, angry and cool.Lyrics of New Sun are precise and evocative. Tides is possibly the best song As Cities Burn has come up. The sound in Wrong Body is really warm and As Cities Burn’s signature voice is still very much present. Our World Is Grey can be hardly overrated by any means; this is what As Cities Burn is all about. In this song fans will recognize the unique vocals of As Cities Burn.
