Chico Buarque had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. Since completing 1969’s ‘Far Niente (bom tempo)’, Chico Buarque fulfilled their contract with SixSteps records and where under no obligation to release another album. This fourteen-song debut EP shows the promise that Chico Buarque has. Chico Buarque na Italia touched my soul like nothing else.
La Banda (A Banda) is a very catchy tune. Juca (1:50) - awsome. Chico Buarque sings Ole Ola in such a comforting, confident voice that you can’t help but be moved. This is one hell of a track. Non vuoi ascoltar have really caught my ear and imagination. Una mia Canzone - For me, this is the best of the album. Chico Buarque is hitting on all cylinders in C Pi Samba. Madalena anadata via is simply exquisite. Carolina - A nice song. Pedro Pedreiro still maintains something of a specific flourish. La TV - a classic song. Chico Buarque na Italia couldn’t start better than with the up up-beat title track Ciao, Ciao, Addio.
