When I listen to Biscate in my car when traffic ain’t going so good. Meninos eu vi - My least favorite song on this album. A violeira is the excellent blend of moody yet optimistic tunes. This track is clearly meant to showcase Chico Buarque’s vocal abilities. Pedao de mim is the albums biggest surprise. Yolanda has a beautifully haunting disco flavor. Bye bye Brasil as well as many of songs is a short story in miniature. The beautiful sound of this track makes you want to close your eyes and sway away with the music. Linha de montagem to me is the best you can get from Chico Buarque. I like the agression and power of A Rosa. A great put together song. Primeiro de maio is probably the most interesting track on Construo Chico Buarque Especial. Joo e Maria is exquisite and different song. Jorge Maravilha great lyrics, dark, deep, angry and cool.Samba para vincius is such a cool and optimistic song that things can get just better. Chico Buarque is hitting on all cylinders in Joana Francesa. Lendas e mistrios da Amaznia is so unique, as each one of the songs is. This track is just a stunning masterpiece. From the sound of it, I believe the song can be a big radio hit.
