This is the first studio album from Chico Buarque since bad diagnosis in 1980. This album has some very good songs like Vida and Mar E Lua. Now signed to Chico Buarque’s Sparrow Records, the title track from second album “Vida” leads Chico Buarque’s back-to-school campaign. Vida is not something you should pass up.
Excellent vocals and musical performances. This track is nearly perfect if not perfect. Ja Passou has to be one of the most beautiful tracks on the entire album. Bastidores is a great opener for Vida. Qualquer Cancao is amazing and different song. Music in Fantasia is gorgeous as in all tracks of Vida. One of the more genuine-sounding songs is Eu Te Amo. De Todos As Maneiras is a romantic if not formulaic ditty. Morena De Angola - A nice song. Bye Bye Brasil have really caught my ear and imagination. I like to sing along with Nao Sonho Mais, though I mess up the lyrics sometimes.
