Dj Premier had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. Beats To Beat Mics (Best Of DJ Premier Instrumentals) carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. This disc has all of the essential Dj Premier classics. Overall, I would highly recommend Beats To Beat Mics (Best Of DJ Premier Instrumentals) CD.
b.i.g. - ten crack commandments (instrumental) is perfect. blazay blah - danger (remx, instrumental) rocked my world when I popped it into my car stereo. capone-n-noreaga - invincible (instrumental) - A nice song. das efx - real hip hop (instrumental) is the song that really did it for me. dj platinum - intro is the album’s biggest hit, I think. In this song fans will recognize the unique vocals of Dj Premier. gang starr ft. inspectah deck - above the clouds is one of the best records ever. gangstarr - code of the streets (instrumental) one of the most beautiful songs i’ve ever heard. Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin. This track is nearly perfect if not perfect. Music and lyrics of gangstarr - royalty (instrumental) creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming. This is the kind of song I think of when I think of Dj Premier. gangstarr - take it personal (instrumental) is sonically very melodic with nice haunting verses. Don’t judge gangstarr - the remains (instrumental) on the first listening. gangstarr - you know my steez (instrumental) - My least favorite song on this album. group home - living proof (instrumental) as a highlight of Beats To Beat Mics (Best Of DJ Premier Instrumentals) contains a ton of amazing melodies. This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing. jay-z - one in a million (remix, instrumental) gets you up and jumping. A fantastic track full of wonder. Strong, powerful vocals of Dj Premier in jeru - full of papers (remix, instrumental) are very impressive. Charming song, great melody. m.o.p. - breaking the rules (instrumental) is, without a doubt, my favorite song, ever. o.c. - crooklyn dodgers is new, fresh, and hypnotizing. o.c. - the world is mine (instrumental) one of the best in my collection. Musically rakim - unknown beat is superior to other tracks in Beats To Beat Mics (Best Of DJ Premier Instrumentals). It’s very catchy and easy to get into which is what you want in a song. As always, Dj Premier’s lyrics are worth listening to again and again. I now have showbiz and ag - next level (instrumental) as one of my personal favorites.
