Echo and The Bunnymen’s debut, ‘Peel Sessions’, does not fit easily into one genre. This disc has all of the essential Echo and The Bunnymen classics. For older fans Peel Sessions will put a massive smile accross your face. Cool, but I like their other actual stuff better like Peel Sessions.
Read It In Books have really caught my ear and imagination. Stars Are Stars is the most memorable and gorgeous. This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing. All That Jazz is a song you cannot help but think about at odd moments in your day. Over The Wall is filled with very deep emotions that will truly touch your heart. Pictures On My Wall is a bit of a show-tune. This is the kind of song I think of when I think of Echo and The Bunnymen. This song is very powerful, its catchy melody will have you singing along in no time. That Golden Smile good vocals. After about the third Turquoise Days listen through, I began to believe this song is Echo and The Bunnymen’s essence. An Equation is worth the money. I loved No Hands the first time I heard it. It’s a great pleasure to listen to Taking Advantage from the beginning to the end. Seven Seas - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody. Silver makes a person feel marvelous. One of the songs that always stick in my mind is The Killing Moon because the melody in the chorus is so good. My Kingdom is the albums biggest surprise. The first time I listened to Nocturnal Me I was struck by its amazing sound. Echo and The Bunnymen allows each song to breathe and flourish. In Watch Out Below Echo and The Bunnymen spins a tale you want to hear to the end.
