There is so much to love about Scott Joplin, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. Piano Rags Played By The Composer (1909 - 1917) isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. Scott Joplin was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Scott Joplin and Piano Rags Played By The Composer (1909 - 1917) together. Scott Joplin is one of my favourite bands of all time.
I like to sing along with Country Club, though I mess up the lyrics sometimes. Felicity Rag - A strong beat. Fig Leaf Rag - A catchy, upbeat tune. Although Gladiolus Rag is very melodic it is far from sad. Magnetic Rag is nothing but pure genius. Non Pareil one of the most beautiful songs i’ve ever heard. Paragon Rag is worth the money. Pine Apple Rag have really caught my ear and imagination. Pleasant Moments sets the tone for the entire album. Lyrics of Reflection Rag are precise and evocative. Scott Joplin breathes new life into the music in Scott Joplin’s New Rag. All of songs on Piano Rags Played By The Composer (1909 - 1917) and have something to say letting alone Searchlight Rag. |titile| is the kind of record that makes you remember why music can be so addictive. Stoptime Rag is really the reason why I recommend buying Piano Rags Played By The Composer (1909 - 1917). Sugar Cane one is one of the better boring ones.
