On Journey album, Arthur Brown have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. There is so much to love about Arthur Brown, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. This is one of the best Cd’s Arthur Brown has dropped to date. Cool, but I like their other actual stuff better like Journey.
Gypsy is possibly the best song Arthur Brown has come up. Don’t judge Superficial Roadblocks on the first listening. Conception - This one is what it is: a powerful, primal invitation to love. I loved Spirit Of Joy the first time I heard it. Come Alive is nothing short of a modern masterpiece. In Spirit Of Joy (Alternate Version) full palet of sound is used by Arthur Brown to accentuate the presentation. Arthur Brown breathes new life into the music in Time Captivies (Alternative Version). No Arthur Brown song has come close to capturing my attention as Superficial Roadblocks (Alternate Version) did. Come Alive (Alternate Version) is new, fresh, and hypnotizing.
