There is no doubt that Cold Chisel has talent. On the India charts, superstar Cold Chisel’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. Now signed to Cold Chisel’s ForeFront Records, the title track from second album “Chisel (Remastered)” leads Cold Chisel’s back-to-school campaign. Lots of variety between tracks. My favorite is Rising Sun
I hope to keep hearing Cold Chisel works for a long time to come. The Things I Love In You - arguably the best track on Chisel (Remastered) album. The sound in Star Hotel is really warm and Cold Chisel’s signature voice is still very much present. When The War Is Over is beautiful, yet underrated track. All of songs on Chisel (Remastered) and have something to say letting alone Breakfast At Sweethearts. My Baby is possibly the most mysterious and inexplicable track Cold Chisel ever produced. In You Got Nothing I Want the music gets its power. Yakuza Girls is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen. I’ve found myself listening to Way Down back to back and back many times. Forever Now is one of the more up-tempo songs on Chisel (Remastered). In Cheap Wine it becomes nowhere more obvious that Cold Chisel has yet to define own style. Once you hear Merry, you will listen to it over and over. One listen to the sheer beauty of Water Into Wine was all I needed. This track is a killer, it just grabs you instantly. Flame Trees actually sounds so joyous, that you can practically see a smile on Cold Chisel’s face. Saturday Night is another favourite of mine. Goodbye (Astrid Goodbye) as well as many of songs is a short story in miniature. This song is very powerful, its catchy melody will have you singing along in no time. Khe Sanh - This happy song is an ode to optimism and an anthem.
