This disc has all of the essential John Barry classics. I am not a real Soundtrack music type of person, but i have to admit ‘The Collection 40 Years of Film Music CD4′ really is amazing. This twelve-song debut EP shows the promise that John Barry has. IT makes me wanna dance!
No John Barry song has come close to capturing my attention as A View to a Kill did. Out of Africa - A catchy, upbeat tune. In The Living Daylights you won’t find any flashy solos. Chaplin pretty much defines how I feel spiritually. This is probably my favorite song on the album. Indecent Proposal - This is a very lively song. The Specialist is a very good song maybe surprisingly better than you at first might’ve imagined. Simply the finest work ever from this multi-talented singer. Cry the Beloved Country is one of these floating songs. Music of Mercury Rising is gentle, never overbearing.
