After seeing I Want to Be Happy, I had to have a good Oscar Peterson cd. On Jazz Masters 37 album, Oscar Peterson have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. This compilation contains all of the biggest hits by Oscar Peterson. Jazz Masters 37 touched my soul like nothing else.
Excellent vocals and musical performances. A fantastic track full of wonder. All the Things You Are hits the heart. I love the melodic melody of Strike Up the Band and to this day it makes me feel good. All of songs on Jazz Masters 37 and have something to say letting alone I Get a Kick out of You. There’s a Small Hotel is gorgeous work of Oscar Peterson. There is cool mix of music in Come Rain or Come Shine. A unique and uplifting song. Voice of Oscar Peterson in Just in Time is honest and guitar work is subtle and poignant. Wouldn’t It Be Loverly? is a amazing, simple song by Oscar Peterson at the top of his game. The sound in Maria is really warm and Oscar Peterson’s signature voice is still very much present. Oscar Peterson emotions are reflected through Little Tin Box. Brotherhood of Man is one of the best records ever. Opening track Surrey with the Fringe on Top shows the best of Oscar Peterson. The song feels complete.
