It has been six years Oscar Peterson’ last studio CD, “Soft Sands” which won Array Emmy� Awards and was nominated for album of the year. Stanley Donwood has compared writing for Oscar Peterson’s new album to that on ‘Soft Sands’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. Oscar Peterson was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Oscar Peterson and Soft Sands together. I love this album so much, i’ve been crazy about Oscar Peterson ever.
Echoes is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen. Don’t judge I Can’t Get Started on the first listening. I’ve Never Left Your Arms is an underrated song: I like its lyrics and melody a lot. It Happens Every Spring - This one makes me want to not only sing along. Of The Outside Looking In is another favourite of mine. Oscar Peterson has astounded me with this amazing track. Soft Sands is one of these floating songs. Song To The Stars very upbeat. |titile| is a sure sign of something most of us are experiencing, maturity. Why, Oh Why is probably the highlight of the album. There is excellent mix of music in You Took Advantage Of Me.
