After about the third Rock Of Ages listen through, I began to believe this song is Oscar Peterson’s essence. Once Upon A Sumertime gets you up and jumping. After you’ve listened to Teach Me Tonight, most everything else can’t hold up and is second rate. The Windmills Of Your Mind is kind of track that compels you to skip back and drink it in one more time before moving on through Two Originals - Walking The Line, Another Day. I Didn’t Know What Time It Was have really caught my ear and imagination. All Of You great lyrics, dark, deep, angry and cool.Blues For Martha is probably the highlight of the album. Greensleeves is a fine track on any terms. I’m Old Fashioned is really a nice song to relax and listen too. All The Things You Are one of the best in my collection. In this song fans will recognize the unique vocals of Oscar Peterson. The JAMFs Are Coming is the albums biggest surprise. This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing. I can’t stop humming along Carolina Shout.
