Since Supersuckers last CD (Motherfuckers Be Trippin’) on SixSteps records back in 0, I have felt a massive void in my life. Self-described as Rock: Punk-Rock with lots of words, Supersuckers comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. John Digester has compared writing for Supersuckers’s new album to that on ‘Motherfuckers Be Trippin” - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. Such great and happy songs.
Rock Your Ass is a very catchy tune. Pretty Fucked Up is another favourite of mine. The Fight Song is one of my favorite songs by Supersuckers. Bruises To Prove It - another great track from the Motherfuckers Be Trippin’ album. Supersuckers breathes new life into the music in Bubblegum And Beer. Supersuckers sings his heart out in Sleepy Vampire. The sound in A Good Night For My Drinkin’ is really warm and Supersuckers’s signature voice is still very much present. This track is just fantastic from start to finish. Someday I Will Kill You - To me, this is the best song on the Motherfuckers Be Trippin’. You have to get essence of the The Nowhere Special’s power, to truly understand this masterpiece. Goodbye is sonically very melodic with nice haunting verses.
