It’s natural for The Sisters Of Mercy to take a stab at ‘Valentine #1′ considering her long-professed love for Depeche Mode. There is so much to love about The Sisters Of Mercy, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. John Digester has compared writing for The Sisters Of Mercy’s new album to that on ‘Before The Flood’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. Lots of variety between tracks. My favorite is Body Politic
Body Politic was the first single release from the album Before The Flood. A fantastic track full of wonder. Strong, powerful vocals of The Sisters Of Mercy in Anaconda are very impressive. I loved Driver the first time I heard it. It’s such an underrated song. Within the first few notes of Phantom it’s perfectly clear that The Sisters Of Mercy is living this song. Burn (Alt. Version) (2:56) - awsome. Kiss The Carpet is absolutely incredible. Valentine #2 - This is a very lively song. This song is dynamic and dramatic. Lights is really a nice song to relax and listen too. Teachers-Adrenochrome is nothing short of a modern masterpiece. This track is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure on Before The Flood. Watch makes a person feel amazing.
