It’s natural for The Sisters Of Mercy to take a stab at ‘more (groove mix)’ considering her long-professed love for Led Zeppelin. Lead single “more (groove mix)” and “ozymandis (7” version)” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. Temple Of Rarities carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. Smart music for smart people.
ozymandis (7” version) is, without a doubt, my favorite song, ever. detonation boulevard (rmx) I just LOVE this mix! A fantastic track full of wonder. In this corrosin (7” version) it becomes nowhere more obvious that The Sisters Of Mercy has yet to define own style. The sound of some kind of stranger (remasterd) is difficult to describe, as it seems to squirm in a sensual manner, unlike anything ever created. One of the songs that always stick in my mind is i was wrong (short version) because the melody in the chorus is so good. dominion (short version) actually sounds so joyous, that you can practically see a smile on The Sisters Of Mercy’s face. The song blood money ending is my favorite… so catchy! Musically vision thing (canadian club rmx) is superior to other tracks in Temple Of Rarities. under the gun (dj edit) is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song. more (power mix) is the albums biggest surprise.
