Self-described as Rock with lots of words, The Sisters Of Mercy comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. four years ago, The Sisters Of Mercy briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Walk Away (Demo Version)”. This -song debut EP shows the promise that The Sisters Of Mercy has. Lots of variety between tracks. My favorite is Walk Away (Demo Version)
Walk Away (Demo Version) is simple, dignified and effective, The Sisters Of Mercy refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more. No Time To Cry (Demo Version) had me crying as I was able to relate so well. A great put together song. A Rock and A Hard Place (Karaoke Version) is so unique, as each one of the songs is. In this song fans will recognize the unique vocals of The Sisters Of Mercy. Marian (Karaoke Version) is perfect. This is probably my favorite song on the album. Strong, powerful vocals of The Sisters Of Mercy in Poison Door (Different Vocals) are very impressive. Train (Demo 1984) is nothing but pure genius. Music and lyrics of Floorshow (Demo 1981) creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming. Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with Marian (Demo 1985). Kiss Me Carpet (Demo 1983) is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done. I like to sing along with Garden Of Delight (Demo 1985), though I mess up the lyrics sometimes. The Sisters Of Mercy breathes new life into the music in Jolene (Demo 1982). Ghostriders (Demo 1985) - This one has a powerful beat and a good melody.
