This is the first studio album from Judy Garland since bad diagnosis in 1960. There is so much to love about Judy Garland, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. This is one of the best Cd’s Judy Garland has dropped to date. When You’re Smiling (The Whole World Smiles With You) is possibly the most mysterious and inexplicable track Judy Garland ever produced. Almost Like Being in Love/This Can’t Be Love [Medley] is simple, dignified and effective, Judy Garland refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more. When I listen to Do It Again in my car when traffic ain’t going so good. You Go to My Head is one of the best records ever. Charming song, great melody. I think Who Cares? (So Long as You Care for Me) [As Long as You Care for Me] is the best song Judy Garland has ever done. Still going through Live At Carnegie Hall and coming to appreciate Puttin’ on the Ritz more and more with every listen. How Long Has This Been Going On? is a striking and quite long song. Judy Garland allows each song to breathe and flourish. The Man That Got Away is a song to savor, to listen to from every angle. It took me a little time but I ended up loving San Francisco. That’s Entertainment! is one of those songs that will put you in a good mood. I Can’t Give You Anything But Love gives taste of what makes Judy Garland special as a musician. Judy Garland sings Come Rain or Come Shine in such a comforting, confident voice that you can’t help but be moved. You’re Nearer is nothing but pure genius. A Foggy Day is probably the highlight of the album. There is astounding mix of music in If Love Were All. Zing! Went the Strings of My Heart is one of the best records ever. This track is a great song that still never gets old. Such hits like You Made Me Love You/For Me and My Gal/The Trolley Song [Medley] will leave you hooked. One listen to the sheer beauty of Rock-A-Bye Your Baby With a Dixie Melody was all I needed. Over the Rainbow is the best music that I have heard from anyone in any area of music.
