For older fans Get Right With The Man will put a massive smile accross your face. Self-described as Rock: Hard-Rock with lots of words, Van Zant comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. It has been five years Van Zant’ last studio CD, “Get Right With The Man” which won Array Emmy� Awards and was nominated for album of the year. I wish that “Get Right With The Man” album was instrumental.
Noobody Gonna Tell Me What To Do motivates you to get up and do something to improve your life and the life of others. Sweet Mama (3:33) Not one of my favorites, but for a lot of people this is one of their best songs. Although Help Somebody is very melodic it is far from sad. It’s also one of those rare songs that touchingly comfort the listener. I Know My History is one of the best records ever. Listening to I Can’t Help Myself you can hear that Van Zant has still amazing chemistry with band members. I’m Doin’ Alright is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done. Lovin’ You (4:02) - Oh, this is one of my favorites! Plain Jane is a striking and quite long song. Been There Done That is probably one of Van Zant’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to.
