Lead single “Consagracao” and “Sem Limites” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. Aline Barros’s debut, ‘Sem Limites’, does not fit easily into one genre. Self-described as Gospel with lots of words, Aline Barros comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. Smart music for smart people.
Aline Barros allows each song to breathe and flourish. Vocals of Aline Barros in Sou Feliz really capture me and are set perfectly to the rhythm. I can’t stop playing Tuo Palavra. It’s also one of those rare songs that touchingly comfort the listener. Quando A Forca De Cristo Falar stands out to me for its audacious melody and sheer beauty. I find myself hearing bits of Para Sempre Te Adorarei here and there throughout my waking hours. It’s a great pleasure to listen to Jesus Faz Parte from the beginning to the end. Jesus Cristo Mudou Meu Viver - This one is what it is: a powerful, primal invitation to love. Familia is, without a doubt, my favorite song, ever. Deus Do Impossivel - This is a very lively song. Lyrics of Cidade Santa are precise and evocative.
