After debuting at No. 1 last week, Burzum’s album Draugen: Rarities falls to No. 2 with 768,000, a sales slide of 53%. This compilation contains all of the biggest hits by Burzum. This fourteen-song debut EP shows the promise that Burzum has. This album is awesome.
Sreminem Fra Taarnet had me crying as I was able to relate so well. Dominuus Sathanas has a beautifully haunting disco flavor. Lost Wisdom is possibly the most mysterious and inexplicable track Burzum ever produced. Spell Of Destruction is one of those songs that will put you in a good mood. Burzum breathes new life into the music in Channeling the Power of Souls into A New God. The beautiful sound of this track makes you want to close your eyes and sway away with the music. Simply the finest work ever from this multi-talented singer. Once Emperor is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen. Seven Harmonies of the Unknown Truth is sonically very melodic with nice haunting verses. My Journey To The Stars is an upbeat song with a constant snare hit. In Lost Wisdom it becomes nowhere more obvious that Burzum has yet to define own style. The sound of Dunkelheit is difficult to describe, as it seems to squirm in a sensual manner, unlike anything ever created.
