Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Joan Manuel Serrat on ‘Las palomas’. This album has some very good songs like Las palomas and El titiritero. This disc has all of the essential Joan Manuel Serrat classics. Lots of variety between tracks. My favorite is El titiritero
When listening to El titiritero, it gives me such an energy rush it’s unbelievable. Poco antes de que den las diez - Well, here we get a bit more meaning. En nuestra casa presents the astounding mix of instruments on La paloma. Manuel catches attention immediately, Tu nombre me sabe a yerba is a cool sing-along. In Pomea de amor the music gets its power. Balada de otoco is the more seemingly obscure song on La paloma that bear up best to repeated listening. In En cualquier lugar Joan Manuel Serrat is at his best. Mis gaviotas is one of the coolest songs Joan Manuel Serrat has ever recorded.
