Mantovani was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Mantovani and The Very Best of Mantovani (cd1) together. It’s natural for Mantovani to take a stab at ‘Charmaine’ considering her long-professed love for Army of Lovers. Mantovani had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. The Very Best of Mantovani (cd1) touched my soul like nothing else.
September Song - This one is what it is: a powerful, primal invitation to love. Voice of Mantovani in Stardust is honest and guitar work is subtle and poignant. Cara Mia - I just love it. Moon River is one of the more up-tempo songs on The Very Best of Mantovani (cd1). Around The World has to be one of the most beautiful tracks on the entire album. Try To Remember - I like this one. Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with Misty. I like the idea behind A Walk In The Black Forest. In Moulin Rouge Mantovani is at his best. La Vie En Rose is really the reason why I recommend buying The Very Best of Mantovani (cd1). Almost There I just LOVE this mix! As Time Goes By is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song. Strong, powerful vocals of Mantovani in Warsaw Concerto are very impressive. Swedisk Rhapsody is a very catchy tune. Autumn Leaves is one of the coolest songs Mantovani has ever recorded. I listened to the opening track More and liked it a lot. Goodnight Sweetheart - This one is lively and fun. I was truly moved when I heard Till.
