Self-described as Rock: Punk-Rock with lots of words, Strung Out comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. It has been two years Strung Out’ last studio CD, “The Element Of Sonic Defiance” which won Array Emmy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. I am not a real Rock: Punk-Rock music type of person, but i have to admit ‘The Element Of Sonic Defiance’ really is amazing. The Element Of Sonic Defiance touched my soul like nothing else.
Mission To Mars is perfect. Voice and instruments in Scarecrow complement each other. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on The Element Of Sonic Defiance is Savant. After you’ve listened to Blew, most everything else can’t hold up and is second rate. Everyday Game is a bit different from Strung Out stereotypical stuff. This is one of those songs that musicians strive to write and create. Get The Element Of Sonic Defiance and turn on Jacky O if you are going to sip your wine late at night. Overall a nice softer song. Novacaine is really the reason why I recommend buying The Element Of Sonic Defiance. In Hidden Track it becomes nowhere more obvious that Strung Out has yet to define own style.
