IF YOU LIKE ALL Beatbox’S SONG GO FOR IT! The Art Of isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. Jim Jones has compared writing for Beatbox’s new album to that on ‘The Art Of’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. This is my first Beatbox Album and i must say i am blown away.
Air Force Crew theme have really caught my ear and imagination. One of the songs that always stick in my mind is beat box break because the melody in the chorus is so good. beat box interlude is the albums lead single as well as biggest hit. Get Fresh Doug and Do the Beatbox is the album’s biggest hit, I think. After you’ve listened to 3 minutes, most everything else can’t hold up and is second rate. Music and lyrics of Ice & The Human DMX - Latoya creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming. Ice & The Human DMX - The Girl Is a Slut has to be one of the most beautiful tracks on the entire album. Ice & The Human DMX - gangster of hip hop part1 - I like this one. Ice & The Human DMX - gangster of hip hop part2 has a beautifully haunting disco flavor. Dawn (Rahzel in 87) presents the perfect mix of instruments on The Art Of. Rahzel & Slick Rick 1 is a nice, innocuous song, and much better than anything Beatbox released so far. Rahzel & Slick Rick 2 marked the continuation of Beatbox in style evolution. freestyle is one of the coolest songs Beatbox has ever recorded. Def Fresh Crew is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song. veronica - Check out that bassline! nice - breath control has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets Beatbox’s strong vocals come to the fore. This is the kind of song I think of when I think of Beatbox. bust it - This is a very lively song. dj jazzy jeff & the fresh prince ft. ready rock c is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen. I like nuthin because it’s extremely catchy and has awesome drumming. downbeats - I used to hate this song, but now it’s one of my favorites. faye as a highlight of The Art Of contains a ton of cool melodies. stick em - For me, this is the best of the album. the human beatbox is filled with very deep emotions that will truly touch your heart. live in brooklyn is sonically very melodic with nice haunting verses. jock box is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done. skinny boys is possibly the best song Beatbox has come up. weightless is worth the money.
