Kenji Kawai had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. This is the first studio album from Kenji Kawai since bad diagnosis in 0. Ivan Grach has compared writing for Kenji Kawai’s new album to that on ‘Ring 2′ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. Ring 2 is preety good and all the songs have a good meaning behind them.
Some of the arrangements found on Ring 2 are surprisingly edgy. Vestiges of Terror very upbeat. Energy of the Phantasmagorical is kind of track that compels you to skip back and drink it in one more time before moving on through Ring 2. Terrors Curse rocked my world when I popped it into my car stereo. Best song on the album, love it. One listen to the sheer beauty of Whispers of the Vengeful Dead was all I needed. Kenji Kawai is hitting on all cylinders in The Sound of the Black Waves. Shock - This one makes me want to not only sing along. Smile Icily for Me (Imai Miki) is one of the coolest songs Kenji Kawai has ever recorded.
