It has been fifteen years The Coral’ last studio CD, “Magic and Medicine” which won Array MTV Music Awards and was nominated for album of the year. On the Iceland charts, superstar The Coral’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. This thirteen-song debut EP shows the promise that The Coral has. Such great and happy songs.
Don’t Think You’re The First to me is the best you can get from The Coral. Liezah is a song to savor, to listen to from every angle. The Coral allows each song to breathe and flourish. After about the third Secret Kiss listen through, I began to believe this song is The Coral’s essence. Milkwood Blues without a doubt is the standout song of Magic and Medicine. There is gorgeous mix of music in Bill McCai. Eskimo Lament is beautiful, yet underrated track. Careless Hands (4:13) a good melody. Charming song, great melody. All Of Our Love is astounding. This is one of those songs that musicians strive to write and create.
