Jim Jones has compared writing for Deborah Cox’s new album to that on ‘Destination Moon’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. Deborah Cox’s debut, ‘Destination Moon’, does not fit easily into one genre. Now signed to Deborah Cox’s Capitol Records, the title track from second album “Destination Moon” leads Deborah Cox’s back-to-school campaign. I greatly enjoyed this CD.
Deborah Cox is hitting on all cylinders in Look To the Rainbow. Smoke Gets In Your Eyes is astounding. New Blowtop Blues is a striking and quite long song. This track is full of harmonies and gets Destination Moon off to a relaxing start. In this song fans will recognize the unique vocals of Deborah Cox. Squeeze Me is a nice, innocuous song, and much better than anything Deborah Cox released so far. Baby, You’ve Got What It Takes is a perfect sing-along. This Bitter Earth - is a breath or fresh air compared to many previous songs of Deborah Cox. This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing. This track is just fantastic from start to finish. What A Difference A Day Made is one of those songs that will put you in a good mood.
