This is the first studio album from Shpongle since bad diagnosis in 0. After seeing DMT (Instrumental mix), I had to have a good Shpongle cd. Shpongle’s debut, ‘Shponglization Bootleg’, does not fit easily into one genre. Oh yes, this album gets Array out of Array
This track is nearly perfect if not perfect. DMT (remix 2) is a strong cut, one of many. DMT has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets Shpongle’s strong vocals come to the fore. Album opener Dorset Perception (Total Eclipse remix) is a bright, upbeat ditty. One of the songs that always stick in my mind is High Pitch because the melody in the chorus is so good. Neutron is the albums lead single as well as biggest hit. Retry (DMT szagu) (7:45) Not one of my favorites, but for a lot of people this is one of their best songs. This is probably my favorite song on the album. Shpongle sings his heart out in Shiva Space Technology. Spaceship of the Imagination on Shponglization Bootleg is solid and easy to listen to. The Receptive is the album’s biggest hit, I think. The Sixth Revelation is a nice, innocuous song, and much better than anything Shpongle released so far.
