‘Sus primeros EP’s CD1′ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. There is so much to love about Rocio Durcal, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. This album has some very good songs like tu carita and los piropos de mi barrio. Sus primeros EP’s CD1 constantly brilliant.
los piropos de mi barrio is an underrated song: I like its lyrics and melody a lot. tilin, tilin (mi cascabelito) is simple, dignified and effective, Rocio Durcal refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more. trebole - This one makes me want to not only sing along. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on Sus primeros EP’s CD1 is tango rociero. vengo de los montes is a bit of a show-tune. I like the agression and power of clavellina hermosa. por fiesta de cabra make listening to Rocio Durcal like being in some sort of time warp. don quijote is the funkiest number on the album. cancion de san roque - My least favorite song on this album. Once mi senora dulcinea gets in your head, it will NEVER leave. viva buffalo bill is a song to savor, to listen to from every angle. Sus primeros EP’s CD1 couldn’t start better than with the up up-beat title track que tengas suerte. nubes de colores is a fine track on any terms. |titile| is a sure sign of something most of us are experiencing, maturity. A unique and uplifting song. This track is a great song that still never gets old. The song la nina buena ending is my favorite… so catchy! quisiera ser un angel has a beautifully haunting disco flavor. No Rocio Durcal song has come close to capturing my attention as la hormiguita did. cancion de juventud is a nice, innocuous song, and much better than anything Rocio Durcal released so far. This is one hell of a track.
